Start with what you use every day and what's wearing out: a worn wallet, a dull knife, headphones that crackle. Then add one thing you'd never buy yourself and one experience. The builder asks about exactly those, so your list has a mix.
Ask for a few things at each price so everyone can pick what fits: a couple under $25 for coworkers and stocking stuffers, a few around $50 for friends, and one or two bigger things for whoever's going in together. Your ideas come grouped that way.
Yes. When someone taps "I'm getting this", everyone else with the link sees it's taken, so nobody doubles up. On your own device the claims are hidden, so the surprise isn't spoiled (anyone you send the link to can still see them).
Not yet. The list holds ideas from the builder. You can ask for more ideas as many times as you like, or copy the list as text and add to it there.

A shared link includes your first name if you add one, and the ideas on your list. It expires in 90 days, and you can stop sharing sooner. "Start over" clears everything here.
